Bennet Linkage
Interactive Installation
“Bennet Linkage” is a responsive/interactive design artifact aiming to challenge the static characteristics of architecture and space. This light project aims to realize a prototypical architecture that dynamically responds and adapts to a variety of parameters, for example to the user’s proximity and movement in relation to the artifact. The whole project is based on the application of digital design and fabrication techniques to a novel material that allows us to obtain a new understanding of materiality and unlocks new possibilities for expression. An algorithmic process gives birth to the
module/construction design; a laser-cutter fabricates it; sensors capture user’s presence and behavior; EL wire’s versatility and efficiency makes it happen.
