LUSK Massing Analysis Tool

In collaboration with FLAD Architects’ Design Team, our team developed a computational workflow and conducted a series of parametric studies to help the team evaluate various massing scenarios for a 3 phase office building development  located in San Diego/California. The goal was to improve upon some initial design scenarios and optimize the design based on key performance objectives outlined by the client. These objectives included preserving unobstructed ocean views, maximizing daylight access across all floors, and minimizing the potential for wind tunnel effects between buildings. Through careful design analysis, we were able to assess how different configurations met these criteria, ensuring a balance between aesthetic, environmental, and functional considerations.
